your first visit

You may wonder, “Why are so many people of such a variety of ages considering orthodontic treatment these days?” The answer is simple. The goal for all of us, kids or adults, is to keep as many of our own teeth as long as possible, preferably our whole life. We would also like our teeth to fit together and look a certain way. This goal is quite a paradigm shift from a generation or two ago. So, how can you be evaluated for orthodontic treatment?

Our relationship with you begins at our complimentary new patient consultation. Dr. Eberle, a leading Denver orthodontist, is always excited about meeting orthodontic patients during their first visit in our Denver office in Cherry Creek. Your one hour appointment will consist of a tour of the office, a thorough examination, a discussion of potential treatment options, and a review of financial arrangements. Digital photographs and a panoramic x-ray are taken (if not otherwise obtained from your dentist) to evaluate the health of the gum tissue and bone around the teeth, the presence and development of permanent teeth hiding under the baby teeth, presence or absence of impacted teeth, the alignment of your teeth, and how the upper and lower teeth and jaw bones fit together. Both your concerns and Dr. Eberle’s concerns are thoroughly discussed. Dr. Eberle insists that our patients leave the office with a clear understanding of their specific needs, what the treatment will consist of, and how long it will take. Dr. Eberle encourages questions from both patients and parents, and as such, we provide ample time to answer these questions. Dr. Eberle can also show you a simulation of your treatment result if you are interested.

Following your meeting with Dr. Eberle, you will meet with our treatment coordinator, who will discuss both the appointments necessary for your orthodontic treatment and financial and insurance considerations. At the end of your appointment you will know your treatment options, time commitment, and financial obligation, including how your dental insurance or flex plan is incorporated.
